I thought for sure I'd see some more Packer rubes on here calling for the NFL to overturn their loss on Monday night. All I can say is that yes it was a bad beat and could have gone the other way, but the good news is that it's early in the year and ther...  more

never have I been more disgusted with professional football. Either the ref is getting bribed by the mob or he is blind. Can someone tell me what the f instant replay is for if they cant get that right!
    • craigsmith33
TwinsFan1   Apparently they cannot review possession in that replay they can only review if it is a touchdown as called on the field.

BBraskie   they clearly missed offense pass interferance on golden tate in endzone he shoved guy away and no call

cap10tripps   I was listening to someone last week talking about how he thought the locked out refs had inside guys, who were basically fucking up on purpose. I thought that notion was laughable until last night.

O-Line is blocking like the Bears o-line does. Rodgers is gonna get hurt if they keep that crap up.
  • JW07
Was that Seattle's 12th man that just tripped up Rodgers?
    • JW07
JW07   I know! @n8smom, he may have gotten tripped up at some point, but this is the play I was referring too... hilarious! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFIAEU-7x5w

n8smom   I couldnt believe that one either and laughed so hard every time they replayed it. That should be one of the weeks highlights. ;)

JW07   That o-line was so terrible even The 12th Man got a sack last night.

JW07   I wish! I didn't realize Seattle's Def was going to be this good this year.

It was kind of a desperate play, but what a ballsy play call on the fake field goal. If you ever read Crabtree's twitter, the guy is hilarious. It was good to see him and Driver both reach the endzone last night.
    • RuFiOhhh
Primo   Not that balsy. It was a well drawn play that exploited the Bears all in FG block scheme.
      • September 14, 2012
    • RuFiOhhh
RuFiOhhh   Maybe not, but in all my time watching packer games I cant remember a fake field goal call and it going for a TD.

craigsmith33   It was a well timed play. It was at a point in the game in which nobody was expecting it. Because it was so close to the half.

Anybody just see that int? That's why I hate jones.
    • Sneeeeky Turtle
RuFiOhhh   I knew they were going to try a play action there, all around i think it was a bad play call. That said Jones made a stupid play and his mistimed jump in the end zone also cost them a TD.

  • TwinsFan1
That is a weird challenge. I don't think you could challenge a call like that, but apparently you can.
    • TwinsFan1
JW07   That was weird. Challenging that someone didn't get off the field in time?
      • September 13, 2012

Packers really showed their limitations yesterday. We'll see how they match up against the bears on Thursday.
The offense looked out of sink and the defense other than the D-line looked sad and slow. No reason to panic yet as it;s only game one but t...  more

RuFiOhhh   This was the worst possible matchup the packers could have had for a week 1 game. Lets face, the packers are not a physical team and they had to play the most physical best defensive team in the league. Rodgers looked out of sync all game because the 49er...  more

Primo   You basically saying that it was a bad match up due to the fact the Niners are a better team.
      • September 10, 2012
    • Primo
RuFiOhhh   The 49ers are a better team. All I was trying to say that I think later in the season this would have been a more competive game.
      • September 10, 2012
    • Primo
Primo   I would have to disagree unless the niners suffer some major injuries. The packers are no match for a team like this. They are physical, well disciplined and talented on both sides of the ball. The Packers with the exception of their passing game has none of this.

RuFiOhhh   Well like I said before its only week one. The giants were 9-7 last year. The first couple games may not matter.
      • September 10, 2012
  • craigsmith33
Ouch this is ugly. No rythym whatsoever. This does not look like the same team of last year. What is going on or is it just the Niner defense that is causing them to be so out of synch?
  • Sneeeeky Turtle
Am I the only packer fan expecting a let down this weekend?
    • Sneeeeky Turtle
Sneeeeky Turtle   Don't get me wrong ill be cheering green and gold the whole time, but I just believe that we have alot of holes and the niners are a team that is built to exploit our holes, and a with a coach like harbaugh you know that they will have a great gameplan an...  more

theFranchise   I see this as a toss up, I could see both teams coming down a bit from last season. One excels where the other is weak and vice-versa. The winner of this game will be decided by the Packers D or the 49ers O and which takes more advantage of the other. I d...  more

Sneeeeky Turtle   It is the definition of strength vs strength, if you can't get excited to watch the packer offense vs the niners defense idk if you can call yourself a football fan, easily the best and intriguing matchup of week one.

RuFiOhhh   I don't know. San Fran didn't do much in the preseason on offense. I know they didn't want to show their hand but those reps are still important. That said, i think Rodgers is going to get knocked around a bit.

Early reports today out of Green Bay, James Jones to the Dolphins for either a second round pick, or a third and sixth round picks. What would you guys do with Jones? We have to much talent in Gurley or Boykin to overpay for a guy that cant hang on to the...  more

Scrubs   I don't believe anybody, even the WR starved Dolphins, would give up a second rounder for Jones. A third and fifth seems like a lot as well. I'd think we might be able to obtain a fourth. That being said, with Gurley and Borel both being cut today, Miami ...  more

RuFiOhhh   Maybe Cobb and boykin are kind of similiar as small WRs but i think the packers might keep 6 WRs on the roster this year.

Sneeeeky Turtle   im surprised by that, i didnt see that they cut gurley or put boykin on practice sqaud. yea gurley will be picked up fast. and as for the typical packer fan comment, did you watch either of those plays that im talking about? its not even in question.

theFranchise   Never been impressed by Jones, I thought they should have tried to trade him last year when his stock was high. I think they would definitely be smart to try and get some value out of him and offload that salary.
