Vikings - Vikings: Cordarrelle Patterson gives team another dynamic kick returner
During the Vikings' preparation for the NFL draft in April, special teams coordinator Mike Priefer prompted coach Leslie Frazier and general manager Rick Spielman to take a good look at the two best return men in this year's class: West Virginia receiver Tavon Austin and Tennessee receiver Cordarre...
What an unbelievably awesome 1st round for the Vikings in this 2013 draft. I'm shocked at the amount of talent we just added. Big props to Rick Spielman and the Vikings organization for dominating day 1.
Percy traded to the Seahawks, for a 1st and 7th this year and a mid rounder next year. While I hate seeing Percy go, I understand why the front office made the move. The Seahawks are going to be scary good next year.
craigsmith33 What was the rationale behind this move? Seems like a dumb move

TwinsFan1 He is a headcase and doesn't listen to the coaches, apparently he is starting to become a locker cancer. I hate it but I can respect it if they makes some moves in FA.

JW07 He has also allegedly stated that he does not like the skills that Ponder possesses. Anytime you have a WR not happy with the QB throwing to him, it causes a bit of a quagmire.
theFranchise Don't think it will be happen. Nice weather and domes help immensely. It was 60 degrees when Dickerson did that in LA. AP is a beast though, I was at the 296 game vs San Diego... craziness.

JW07 I can't see it happening either but anything is possible. TheGeneral - you going to the game or are you gonna be at the fantasy football party to watch the game?
In the current playoff picture, the Vikings are in the 6th seed of the NFC and would play Green Bay in the first round. That would mean they would play in back to back weeks. I would be happy about the Vikes making the playoffs.
cap10tripps Crazy that you go into each week knowing if you stop AP, you will probably win, but nobody can stop him. I hope they make it. That's a dude that should be in the playoffs.

I am placing about 65% of the blame on Ponder, only because none of our WRs cannot catch the ball or create separation for Ponder to throw into. If you want an example, look at the throw to Aromashodu, it wasn't the prettiest throw, but it was catchable if Devin goes up for the ball instead of falling to the ground to try to catch the ball. I don't know how the Vikings think they can go anywhere with a one-dimensional offense. less
craigsmith33 I cant believe that the BEars couldnt score more than they did. Was very impressed by Vikes D yesterday

The Vikings have a Defense that can hang with the best in the NFL, not saying they are the best, far from it in my eyes. And they have the best runner in the NFL, if they only had a resemblance of a pass offense this team would be so much better, and maybe even have a shot at winning the division.

If they can fix their ability to handle more game situations, they'll be in the mix in the division. People can hem and haw all they want about Ponder, but the reality is that in today's NFL it's pass first and you get only a short window to prove yourself. The responsibility of scoring the football offensively falls squarely on the QB, right or wrong that's just reality. Time to start looking somewhere else for a player that can consistently make things happen. less
JW07 Ending with terrible protection and a ball thrown to nobody. Again.

TwinsFan1 Need to figure out why they fizzle in and near the red zone. Overall this year has been good for the purple. Fix the issues and come back next week better.
The Vikings are not playing to well tonight. But I have to admit that the Bucs are plating well. Guess I shouldn't be surprised that this young team is struggling tonight. Oh well.
Ponder should have plenty of time tonight, let's hope his footwork is back in order and gets back to the accuracy he had the firsts 4 weeks. Tampa Bay's weakness is their secondary. Maybe stretch the field with Simpson and get AP a bit more breathing room... morePonder should have plenty of time tonight, let's hope his footwork is back in order and gets back to the accuracy he had the firsts 4 weeks. JW07 I believe it will be one of those "utilize the deep threat to set up the run game" type of games for the Vikings. This could be Simpson's coming out party in MN. It would be fitting too since I just dropped him from my fantasy roster.
