Andre Miller is single handedly keeping the Nuggets in this game vs the Mavs down the stretch. Gotta love this guy. He's better than he was 5 years ago with the Sixers...YMCA style in the NBA
avifinkelsteinHe's probably the slowest craftiest guy in 20 years. And also the best player we've had since Iverson, including #9. That team is a combination of the 09 Sixers & Knicks. I can watch it 30 times straight (which is weird in its own right).
The Denver announcer just called Andre Igudala "HeatMiser". I am assuming he is referring to the holiday character. He does kinda look like him. The Sixers having a 5 point lead with 15 second left blew it in unreal fashion. Wow. Still cant get over this one. A three. Followed by two big misses by Evan Turner and then they FOUL THE THREE POINT SHOOTER?? Doug was ready to have a nervous breakdown in his press conference. Tough one to swallow. Even though we arent close to the playoffs, we want these young guys to get big wins, like the one in Denver would have been, not give games away. I think this game may tip Doug over the point of madness that he says F it, Im going back to TNT less

Do other bad teams experience these kind of late game meltdowns as much as we do? I feel like the last few years are the only times I can remember a team continually giving up a more than one possession lead with less than a minute left with missed ft's, dumb shots, and FOULING THE GODDAMN 3 POINT SHOOTER!

Some more realistic names to keep in mind are Muhammad sg UCLA, Oladipo sg Indiana, Len c Maryland, Mcadoo pf UNC, Cauley-Stein c Kentucky, and Gobert c France. For craigsmith33's sake though, I hope they draft Glen Robinson III out of Michigan, so I can hear him yelling, "Little Fraud!" whenever he takes a bad shot.
Tonight's sixer game is a microcasm of what is wrong with this team. Against an average rebounding team, we got mauled again. Our bigs are some of the most soft 7 footers in NBA history. Plenty of turnovers and poor shooting again led to a loss. ... moreTonight's sixer game is a microcasm of what is wrong with this team. Against an average rebounding team, we got mauled again. Unfortunately it is looking like we have taken a HUGE step backward with this Bynum fiasco. How could management botch this so badly. Adam Aaron is all over the place saying they had six doctors look at this guy, but any NBA fan who was knowledgable could have told you that this guy had the tendency to be injury prone and play not at 100%. less
cap10tripps The only muscle on the team is a young 7 footer who they traded a future 1st rounder for (Moultrie), but Doug doesn't play him in this pointless season. It's Vucevic all over again.
cap10trippsHe's better than both guys you mentioned, and it's not even close. He's made strides this year, and I expect that to continue. avifinkelstein Shumpert is more valuable on the open market, salary considered. (And Shump's better).

He's probably not going to be the superstar you hope for from the 2nd pick, but I see a solid contributor in all facets of the game who clearly still makes dumb mistakes in this, the first year he's a full time starter. His numbers have exceeded what I'd at least hoped for, and I see a very solid career for the kid. Shump is a very valuable defender. Best case scenario, he's a better Tony Allen. Valuable yes, worth Evan Turner or the shittiest team in the leagues 1st round pick, hell no. less

The lack of respect he gets from officials would back that up as well. He can penetrate better than most guys his size but rarely gets the calls. Last night he should've had 6 more ft attempts, and that wasn't a freak occurrence. There have been plenty of guys seen as punks early in their careers that eventually get that respect and reach a whole nother lever. I expect a better Iguadala (who took 3 or 4 years to really get going) when he hits his prime. As long as he's not cap strapping us with a mediocre team, that's a guy I want. less

cap10tripps Now if we're looking to package him, Flawes, Thad, and a pick or two for D12, I'm in.
Whats the cause of the quality play all of a sudden? Better defensive effort if you ask me. Orlando, albeit not a great team, still should score more than 60 points.
cap10trippsThat starting lineup should have been implemented more than a month ago. Jason Richardson is a stiff at this point, Swaggy P has all kinds of potential that we talked about right after they signed him, and as much as Flawes frustrates the shite out of me, he's ten times the center Lavoy is. I love Doug, but that cost them some losses.

Unless Bynum plays this season, I don't want to make the playoffs. That's a shitty thing to say as an NBA fan, but it illustrates a major problem with the Association. Unlike the NFL, MLB, NHL, and even NASCAR, just making the playoffs does not give you a chance. Landing a significant player is the only way.
This is a big game for the franchise. A four game losing streak or snap it with a big road win and get Jrue back and get rolling again. The lack of big man just kills this team.
