Umm... what? I'm not even a Sixers fan and I'm pissed. What a bum!
  • theFranchise
No Doug Collins? This team is headed the wrong direction.

This guy shouldn't be allowed to write any more articles about the NBA or the 76ers. His assertion is that with the addition of O.J. Mayo, J.J. Hickson (too many initials for me) and some rookie backup point guard, the Sixers should compete for the four s...  more

cap10tripps   I love Hickson, but this team is pointless without either a healthy Bynum or Dwight Howard as their offseason move.

Andre Miller is single handedly keeping the Nuggets in this game vs the Mavs down the stretch. Gotta love this guy. He's better than he was 5 years ago with the Sixers...YMCA style in the NBA
    • craigsmith33
avifinkelstein   He's probably the slowest craftiest guy in 20 years. And also the best player we've had since Iverson, including #9. That team is a combination of the 09 Sixers & Knicks. Speaking of slow, that Slow Break commercial is the greatest. I can watch it 30 time...  more

The Denver announcer just called Andre Igudala "HeatMiser". I am assuming he is referring to the holiday character. He does kinda look like him. Heat is the last thing that I would say when I think of Iggy and his shooting but the dude could ...  more

Yes I am going to talk Sixers on the opening night of March Madness. What I saw tonight was unreal. The Sixers having a 5 point lead with 15 second left blew it in unreal fashion. Wow. Still cant get over this one. A three. Followed by two big misse...  more

cap10tripps   That was such a bad loss. Do other bad teams experience these kind of late game meltdowns as much as we do? I feel like the last few years are the only times I can remember a team continually giving up a more than one possession lead with less than a mi...  more

It's officially time to start thinking about the draft. I'd love to see them get lucky and land this Mclemore kid out of Kansas. Some more realistic names to keep in mind are Muhammad sg UCLA, Oladipo sg Indiana, Len c Maryland, Mcadoo pf UNC, Cauley-St...  more

Tonight's sixer game is a microcasm of what is wrong with this team. Against an average rebounding team, we got mauled again. Our bigs are some of the most soft 7 footers in NBA history. Plenty of turnovers and poor shooting again led to a loss.

cap10tripps   The only muscle on the team is a young 7 footer who they traded a future 1st rounder for (Moultrie), but Doug doesn't play him in this pointless season. It's Vucevic all over again.

No shock, though not worth much (other than the fact his deal doesn't go beyond next season).
    • avifinkelstein
cap10tripps   He's better than both guys you mentioned, and it's not even close. He's made strides this year, and I expect that to continue. If PHX offered that, and the Knicks didn't take it, they're both crazy. That sounds like someone reported that from an "anony...  more

avifinkelstein   Shumpert is more valuable on the open market, salary considered. (And Shump's better).

cap10tripps   Nah, you can clearly see the promise in E.T. He's probably not going to be the superstar you hope for from the 2nd pick, but I see a solid contributor in all facets of the game who clearly still makes dumb mistakes in this, the first year he's a full tim...  more

cap10tripps   I know you don't like him from the stories you've heard about his attitude. The lack of respect he gets from officials would back that up as well. He can penetrate better than most guys his size but rarely gets the calls. Last night he should've had 6 ...  more

Whats the cause of the quality play all of a sudden? Better defensive effort if you ask me. Orlando, albeit not a great team, still should score more than 60 points.
    • craigsmith33
cap10tripps   That starting lineup should have been implemented more than a month ago. Jason Richardson is a stiff at this point, Swaggy P has all kinds of potential that we talked about right after they signed him, and as much as Flawes frustrates the shite out of me...  more

"If you're Spencer Hawes, you gotta go up stronger than that," is a phrase you hear a lot when watching Sixers games.
  • cap10tripps
Wow. This team is embarrassingly bad.
  • cap10tripps
Still a pointless frustrating team to watch. Unless Bynum plays this season, I don't want to make the playoffs. That's a shitty thing to say as an NBA fan, but it illustrates a major problem with the Association. Unlike the NFL, MLB, NHL, and even NASC...  more

This is a big game for the franchise. A four game losing streak or snap it with a big road win and get Jrue back and get rolling again. The lack of big man just kills this team.
    • craigsmith33
cap10tripps   Just continues to be one of the many pointless teams in the NBA. Even worse to be always fighting for a low seed than to maybe score in the lottery. Let's hope they spend that money wisely next off season. Needs to be either Howard or Jefferson to make...  more
